What does it cost to use the apps?
The Door Scan Manager App is free, and the Box Office App comes as part of your gate sales setup. Device hire and event staffing are quoted separately, so talk to our client services team about what you need.
How many devices can we use?
Scan and sell on as many devices as your event requires. Every device stays in sync, so you can run several gates at once.
What happens if we lose phone signal?
Our scanning is built to keep working through the drop-outs that are common at rural venues. Let us know if you're concerned about coverage and we'll factor it into your recommended setup. We can arrange connectivity for your gates too.
Can we take cash at the gate?
Yes. The Box Office App handles cash and card. For card, you can use Ticketebo's integrated merchant facility or your own EFTPOS terminal.
Do we need to buy scanners?
No. In fact, the Door Scan Manager App runs on the phones and tablets your team already has. If you'd rather not use personal devices, we can hire you scanners and POS units instead.
Can we sell merchandise as well as tickets?
You can. We can simply load your merch items alongside your ticket types, and your team sells both from the same screen. Just let our team know what you want to sell.
How do patrons get their ticket if they buy at the gate?
Patrons will receive their tickets by SMS or email within seconds of the sale, ready to be scanned like any other ticket.
Can our volunteers use it?
Yes. Most gate teams pick it up in a couple of minutes, and we'll walk your coordinator through it beforehand. Support is also available 7 days a week if a question comes up mid-shift.
How do we log in to the apps?
We'll set up logins for your event and send them through before the day. Each team member signs in with your event details.
How do refunds work at the gate?
Your team can process a refund through the Box Office App on the day. However, anything after the event goes through our client services team, who'll handle it with the patron directly.
